Who we are

Two Truths & a Lie ("the Game", "we", "us") is a free browser-based social game. We are committed to protecting your privacy.

What data we collect

We collect the minimum data necessary to operate the Game:

Game content: The three statements you write and your first name when creating a game.
Guesses: When someone plays a game, we record which statement they selected. We do not record who made the guess.
Local storage: We store a small piece of data in your browser's local storage to prevent duplicate guesses. This data never leaves your device.

What we do NOT collect

Email addresses
Phone numbers
IP addresses
Location data
Device identifiers
Cookies for tracking or advertising

How we use your data

Game content and guesses are used solely to operate the Game: displaying statements to players and showing vote percentages in results. We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising.

Data storage

Game data is stored on servers provided by Supabase (supabase.com), located in the EU. Data is transmitted over HTTPS encryption.

Data retention

Game data is retained for as long as the Game is operational. We may delete games that have been inactive for more than 12 months.

Children

The Game is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has submitted content, please contact us and we will remove it.

Your rights

You have the right to:

Request deletion of a game you created
Request a copy of data associated with a specific game
Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
